Customers that experience frequent power outages with their existing utility, may want to consider a battery back-up system (uninterrupted power source or UPS). Systems with battery back-up will continue to supply power for critical household functions such as heat, refrigeration water pumps, computers and telephones for a specified period of time in the event of a utility outage.
